Dr. Vijaykumar Narayandas Baheti is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Textile and Fibre Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi since 2019. He has completed his PhD from Technical University of Liberec (TUL), Czech Republic in 2014. Before joining IIT Delhi, he was working as Postdoc (2014-2015) and later as Assistant Professor (2015-2019) at Department of Material Engineering, Faculty of Textile Engineering in TUL, Czech Republic. He has taught and also supervised/co-supervised 8 PhD students on different research topics at TUL. Moreover, he has also guided number of students from different countries during their summer research internship in Liberec each year. He has worked on 11 research projects sponsored by national government agencies/industries in Czech Republic. He has published several articles in impact factor journals. Under ERASMUS+ program, he has delivered expert lectures on Textile Engineering at different universities in Europe and Asia. At IIT Delhi, he is working in fabric manufacturing group. His research activities are focused on utilization of fibrous industrial wastes, Textile reinforced composites/concrete, Activated carbon fabric structures, EMI shielding and heat generating fabrics, etc.
